Default Folder X 4.3.1が出ていました。開く・保存ダイアログ機能拡張。Snow Leopard対応のようです。そろそろかな。Mac OS X 10.4以上。シェアウェア($34.95)。

What’s new in Default Folder X 4.3.1

  • The files and folders in submenus of the Recent Folders menu are now sorted in the same way as the recent folders (by date or by name).
  • Default Folder X now supports Safari plugins that bring up Open and Save As dialogs in Snow Leopard. This ensures that Default Folder X’s controls appear correctly when attaching files to messages in Gmail.
  • Contextual menus in Open and Save dialogs now work in column and icon views as well as list view in Snow Leopard.
  • In Snow Leopard, Default Folder X would sometimes draw a white square in the menubar where its icon was supposed to be. This has been fixed.
  • A problem has been fixed in which Default Folder X would not hide its controls when an options panel came up on top of an Open or Save dialog. This primarily affected Final Cut Pro, QuickTime Player 7, and other applications that export files using QuickTime.
  • Corrected a performance problem that made Default Folder X’s own “Get Info” command bring up its file dialog very slowly.
  • Added an option to automatically open all of your favorite folders in the Finder when you switch folder sets. Option click on the Settings button in the Default Folder X preference pane and turn on “OpenActiveFolderSet”.
  • Added a “lefty” option to put the toolbar on the left side of Open and Save dialogs instead of on the right. Option click on the Settings button in the Default Folder X preference pane and turn on “ToolbarOnLeft”.
  • Fixed the alignment and spacing of buttons in the Info panel below Open dialogs.
  • Macintoshes based on the PowerPC G3 processor are once again supported.

What’s new in Default Folder X 4.3

  • Full support for Snow Leopard, including running in 64 bit applications and support for garbage-collected memory management.
  • Corrected a problem on Snow Leopard that could cause Default Folder X’s hierarchical path menu to freeze or crash.
  • Fixed a bug which could cause DFPreviewServer to consume excessive amounts of CPU time and memory. This occurred when previewing very large files that Mac OS X incorrectly identifies as text files.
  • You can list items in hierarchical menus chronologically rather than alphabetically by holding down the Control key.
  • Corrected a problem in the “Make Save dialogs automatically default to the current document’s folder” setting that would cause Default Folder X to default to the top level of your hard disk or your home folder in certain applications (including Address Book).
  • Save As sheets are now automatically resized to fit the screen when you switch from a large display to a smaller one.
  • You can globally set a minimum file dialog size and column width. Use these commands in terminal to set the values:

    defaults write com.stclairsoft.DefaultFolderX minimumSize.width 800
    defaults write com.stclairsoft.DefaultFolderX minimumSize.height 600
    defaults write com.stclairsoft.DefaultFolderX minimumSize.columnWidth 250

Change the numbers at the end of the commands to the sizes you want to use (in pixels).

  • There is now a way to override the time before menu previews zoom to full size. In Terminal, use this command to change the value (the default value is 1.5 seconds):

    defaults write com.stclairsoft.DefaultFolderX menuZoomDelay 1.5

Change the “1.5” in the line above to the number of seconds you want for the delay. Note that you need to turn Default Folder X off and back on again for this change to take effect.

  • Eliminated a problem that could cause custom controls in Save dialogs to get scrambled (this affected Graphic Converter as well as other applications).
  • Default Folder X’s “New Folder” command would not work in some applications when creating a folder inside a folder that was reached by double-clicking on an alias. This has been fixed.
